Rene Shand

ColourWheel Partner, Windsor & Maidenhead

We are delighted to introduce Rene Shand, our newest ColourWheel Partner, who will be hosting classes in Maidenhead and Windsor. Rene is joining us for the new term in September with additional classes planned to follow in Windsor from January 2017. Rene has enjoyed a rewarding career as a Food & Nutrition teacher in secondary schools for the past 24 years. She is now transitioning into adult education for a change of lifestyle and to expand her horizons. Rene who is originally from South Africa has travelled extensively, living in the US and Australia. A very creative person, she continues to teach cake decorating and sugar-craft classes. Rene enjoys meeting new people and looks forward to welcoming you to class.

Rhonda Fenwick


ColourWheel Maidenhead

Rhonda is a talented artist with fifteen years experience in teaching and participatory arts working with people of all ages and abilities. In her own art practice she is currently creating new work inspired by nature and our place in it. Using a variety of mediums to explore, experiment and create work, through play and imagination seeks to tell a narrative of our time. She graduated in 2001 with an MA Fine Art Degree, part of these studies were concerned with art in a social context, using the arts to raise awareness of social issues. For example, in 2017 she is organising an art exhibition, Art for Peace in Syria: Reflections and Visions. Rhonda has exhibited extensively in the UK and you can see some of her work on her websites:

Erica Sharp


ColourWheel Windsor

Erica is a freelance illustrator, designer, artist and teacher. Erica is passionate about art and jewellery making, she has a teaching qualification and has taught art in local schools for many years as well as teaching art to adults. In addition Erica produces workshop for clients such as The Welcome Trust and the British Museum. Erica has a BA from Southampton University and her book Cutting Edge Fashion Illustration has been published both is the UK and US. Have a look at some of her art on these websites:

Steve Hedges

ColourWheel Partner, Aylesbury

Steve is our Partner for the Butlers Cross daytime and evening class, he has a wealth of experience managing the teams delivering a first class customer service experience in often difficult situations. The move to ColourWheel is a breath of fresh air for him and allows him to work with his passion for art. As well as art, Steve has many hobbies and interests and he has recently completed an Open University degree in Humanities. He is a father of two and is very involved in the local community, serving on several committees that serve the local youth groups.

Nina Barratt

Teacher, Daytime Classes

ColourWheel Aylesbury

Nina originally studied Art and Design in the UK before travelling to South Africa, where she worked as a graphic artist and silk-screen printing artist. She then started her own business painting murals for private homes, restaurants and schools, as well as selling her own commissioned paintings. After returning to the UK, she delivered her own creative workshops and has taught life drawing to GCSE students and adults in the community. Her own work is an eclectic mix influenced by her travels in different parts of the world. She is passionate about art and loves to inspire others into becoming new artists themselves!

Rebecca R.F. Ferreira

Teacher, Evening Classes

ColourWheel Aylesbury

Rebecca is a professional artist, gaining her B.A Hons. Degree in Fine Art and Art History, at the University of Gloucestershire in 1998. Since then she has been exhibiting her art in the UK and abroad. Rebecca lived near Lisbon in Portugal for ten years before returning to Oxfordshire in 2014. She is a member of the Visual Arts Group and Bucks Open Studios, teaches art workshops to children and adults and holds art sessions as therapy to people who attend the Headway Centre in Aylesbury. Rebecca is an accomplished artist using a wide range of materials and techniques in her art and is inspired by plants and flowers, still-life, literature, music. She is also passionate about dogs and art therapy.
